HAO is managed by independent non-partisan indigenous professionals whom have been experiencing practically & technically on various fields of capacity buildings of humanitarian sectors and community development projects as they have had special trainings (TOTs) to the sectors of its programme operations, humanitarian interventions, and capacity building programs
At the apex of HAO’s governance is a board of three directors. These officials include a chair person, a secretary and treasurer. The key mandate of the board is policy making, recruitment of senior managers and fund raising. Their mandate is renewed every 3 years in an Annual General Meeting attended by all members. HAO’S senior management is answerable to the board. There are 10 management staff and this includes the senior management staff of an Executive Director (EC), Programme Managers, Senior Programme and HR officers.
